Now before all you key board commandos get all fired up and ready to do battle over why other motorcyclist don't wave at you , I'm talking about Triumph motors. The first slow boat from Italy actually arrived sooner than expected and was packing my rear WAVE rotor. Got it installed tonight :hammer: . The office digital postal scale confirms the wave rotor to be 1 pound and 10.6 ounces lighter than the stock unit. A pretty good weight savings and the "lack" of rotor also makes cleaning that outer portion of the rear hub easier. Still waiting on arrival of the front wave . JCW

Do they make that rotor for the Thunderbird? I would be interested if they did.

The fronts they do, I'm not sure about the rear. This model fits the thruxton only. The front fits a slew of hondas, thruxton, and thunderbirds. Check out BRAKING's web site for the Tbird rear. JCW

I responded to your post in the mods and maintenance section too. Looks great. What are the benefits of a wave rotor over a stock styled one?

Tom - part of the reasoning follows from Hard racings website. They are also very light. JCW

Efficient design evenly utilizes all brake pad surface and eliminates lightening holes, which adds strength. Wave Rotors are able to expand and contract as they heat up without warping. Rotors provide maximum stopping power while remaining perfectly flat.

A review will be greatly appreciated....

The stock rear brake leaves something to be desired so any improvement would be great.
It looks great.
