I wrapped my exhausts with DEI 1". The roll doesn't cover all the way back to the muffler. I'm looking for opinions about where the wrap ends and whether I should rewrap. I would have to buy 2 rolls and more silicon paint.

Do it all the way or not at all.

I like the "old school" look of the wrap, but I was a bit angry when it was obvious that one roll was not enough. The manufacturers claim that using can improve performance by keeping the exhaust gases hot, reducing back pressure. It "seems" like the the bike has smoother acceleration with it on. I guess if I rewrap it will give me a chance to try it with and without...

Try using the 2" wrap instead. One 50' roll will be enough.

Thanks to all who attended!

Good point! I was following the advise of the guy at the store and what was on the box, but every application is different I guess. I think that I will try the 2" next and see how it works out.

Not at all would be best. I don't get why you would want your bike to be wrapped in rags.

i think it would look better complete, don't listen to the guys saying they don't undrestand why wrapping your bike in rags looks bad, for starters, you're not wrapping the whole bike!!!!!

Personally I like the the look of the wraps. I would however go all the way to the end of the headers.

1) The purpose of wrapping on drag bikes etc. is to keep the pipes and exhaust gas hot so that it doesn't lose velocity by cooling. On our relatively softly tuned engines it will make little or no discernable difference.

2) Have it the way you like it. It's your bike!
