Hi All,
I tried searching for this, but the words "blinkers" and "turn signals" get too many hits, and trying to be more specific ("nonfunctioning blinkers") doesn't get any at all.
So on my ride home yesterday my speedometer suddenly stopped working. Thankfully the cable had simply slipped out of the housing, so a quick fix. But then I noticed that my blinkers aren't blinking. All four of them come on, but they don't blink. What does this mean?
By the way, I saw Missin Impossible III last night. Had I not known he was riding the souped-up Bonneville/Scrambler, I would never have been able to identify it. What's all the hoopla about a bike that has a three-second screen shot, in profile, with the sun behind it all about? Reminds me of that line from Toy Story 2, in which the little green alien brags about his movie experience to his buddy; "If you have the letterbox verion of the film, you can see my hand holding onto Woody's foot".

Mancha sounds like your flasher unit died. Its located under the seat and is a simple 3 pronged (I think) unit that simply plugs into the harness. JCW

Thanks T-Up.
I'll check it. Although, once I've found it, what will I be looking for? Will the whole thing just need to be replaced, or this a matter of replacing a fuse or something? If the whole thing is to be replaced, is this a generic item or will I need to order it from Triumph?

Nope. Unfortunately the bike is Junk now. Crate it up and send it to me. I'll send a few bucks for your aggravation. :-D

Mancha - It's square - maybe 3/4" by 3/4". So many Jap parts on the bike - a flasher may somewhat universal and be had at an auto parts or jap bike shop.
Here is a signal minder which replaces the flasher - simple unplug and plug in to replace - flasher is smaller than this and more square. Gives you an idea of what box with 3 pronged connection to look for.
And really I should get first dibs on your bike not Kingmoham. JCW

Mancha, Like Thrux Ton Up said, the flasher is the problem. BUSS and or Signal Stat make these units. Very common at all auto parts shops. But if you go to the 5 and dime type shops, you know of whom I speak, they may not know what you are talking about. Go to a quality auto parts place, A NAPA dealer comes to mind, or any "high end parts shop". Pay the price of the high end guys for" their KNOWLEDGE". :- Steve Du Bose. gear head at large. I don't see any three-pronged connectors. Here's a pic of what's under my seat:
Is the thing at the top of the picture my flasher?
