I think I am going to get the Tomaselli 3 way adjustable bars, but I wondering if they are any safety issues to look out for?

Thanks,
TS

Yeha if you take your hands off them and hit a bump you might fall over. :-D

Tont T - I have them on bike - they are very well built units - the bolts securing each section are massive - JCW

I've had them on my bike since new (04) and they haven't moved at all (nor needed tightening).

They have made a vast improvement (for me) on riding position and wrist relief and look stock standard with the average admirer unaware that they are not original bars for the bike. A set of bar-end mirrors finishes the look.

I haven't heard that one since Boy Scout summer camp!

Oh yeah, topic... I am ordering Tomasellis. Does anyone know how much additional rise I can get if set up below the upper triple clamp (i.e. stock location). Thanks!

JCW, here's a good question for you. At the point where they mount to the forks, are they the same thickness as the stock clips? I'm wondering if any more of the shrouds needs to be cut away.

Yes - it looks like trimming of the headlight mounts will be required - at least on the set - I have- it's very close - looks like it would work without the rubber grommets on the mounts - but I would not recommend that. If you have something like LSL mounts no problems. If you mounted the bars flat - maybe 3 " of rise. Mounting on top of the triple clamps provides more adjustability. Lowering the bike a little helps eliminate that "hey am I driving a cement truck feel" , if you've ridden other sport bikes you know what I mean. JCW
