woulda done it. After I cut the kinks out of my headers a few days ago,and installed the baffles ,and the Thrux mini cans,I was happy with the sound. But,poor job planning on my part, didn`t allow full retraction of the sidestand. Spark city!! So,tonight I built a 2 into 1 manifold and left the end open until I pick a can.The outlet is plain 1-3/4",so just about anything can be adapted.[how do you spell Akrapovic?] I took her for a spin around the block, and she almost jerked out of my hands when I jumped on it. Any can will be strictly for looks. :-D

Punch in the below site, go to "Order Now", and look at the "Thunder Boltz" baffle made for the 1 5/8" ID of your 1 3/4" OD pipe. For $79.00 you get two, but it looks like you should follow through on your 2-1 concept with just one.

Big City Thunder

I've ordered a couple chrome slip-over "Fish Tail extensions" from JC Whitney. I plan to cut the fish tails off and just use the straight pipe to slip over the below pictured pipes running on both sides of my bike. I'm using the Thunder Boltz in each of my 1 3/4" pipes..... sound good, but that would be sooooo cool if your two into one works!

Steve - one of mini thrux cans wouldn't work? I liked the looks of those - would make a nice 2-1! JCW

Mancha,thanks
John, just holding the mini can over the end, changed to tone at idle to a deeper bass.Holding the remnants of the Thrux cans to the end of the mini`s made it almost stock sounding. Having the latitude to use anything or nothing is a good feeling. :-D
Pat,I`ll check out the boltz, but the 12" baffles seem to be doing their job.At low rpm,the pipe isn`t any louder than the stock punched out mufflers.
Thanks King.It looks a bit odd without a pipe or can of some sort, because the pipe sticks out in space. It doesn`t stick out as far as the stockers did but looks odd right now. Also,it comes around the centerstand lugs,so no problem getting to the oil filter or putting it on a lift.

Welded up an adapter to one of the mini cans and took her for a spin.Very good bottom and mid range.Didn`t crank it up to high revs as I`m sure its quite lean. [pipes are turning purple again] Will order some new mains [running 112s,stock 40 pilot and thrux needles w/2 shims] and install the 42 I have in the garage. Any thoughts on mains. I`m thinking 125 or 130 to start. Also, opinions on finish for the 2 into 1 manifold? I`m leaning toward wrapping it or high temp gloss black paint. I`m only doing the new piping.
