DUDE, I actually copy/pasted this image as a possibility for a set of cans! I'm a big fan of the disc "SuperTrap" type system, but couldn't find anything or anyone to help me find something.... then I stumbled onto the below can.

Striking resemblance to what you've created!

I have to reserve judgement on this one until I see a full side view.

That said, I like short cans. There's a guy around here who's made it something of a specialty shortening cans by about 1/3 to 1/2. They look pretty trick that way. Not sure how the Thruxton would look with the treatment though.

Mancha,I`m just playing with them now.My intention was to cut off the headers at the kink, insert the baffles [12"] that I got from J&P and put the cans level under the bike ala TT pipes. Not sure I`m ready to hack the headers yet.

I went to the local muffler shop, had 'em bend me a couple pipes, stuck a Thunder City "Thunder Boltz" baffle in there, and mounted them last night. Though in reality, there has been a couple months of R&D behind these, morphing out of an attempt to make some fish-tails for the bike (now they can just slip over these existing pipes if I want).

They don't hafta be this long, the baffle should be at least 3" to 6" from the outlet of the pipe. I'm going with this length for the time being.

My last pair were mounted in some D&D cans, about the same dimensions as these. 64.64 (SAE) hp to the rear wheel, good low-end but lacking up top...... and it's amazing how quiet they can be by finding that sweet spot where you're not accelerating. Sound pretty good too!
(danm, late for work.....)

Pat,the J&P baffles I got are 12" long with "church key" punches in the body and 1-1/2" mounting surfaces at each end.Any idea what running problems I might encounter but putting them into the headers?
