Has anyone ever used a different throttle assembly than OEM?

The grip, the plastic sleeve under the grip that graps the two throttle cables, the metal piece that coils the throttle cables up, the brake master cylinder/perch and brake lever are pricey to replace. These are all the pieces I need.

Any suggestions on using an alternative aftermarket setup?

I am also concerned about safety. So this would need to work correctly with the front caliper and be porportioned correctly for stopping power.

These prices are 20% over dealer cost! I just bought these parts!

What prices did you get? My dealer is very good to me, let me know if I can help...

I don't have all the prices yet but for front brake master cylinder that has a perch was $140. So I am guessing that my other throttle assembly parts would add another easy $100.

T2040252 throttle actuator $34.17 -- I am guessing this is the two metal pieces that coil the throttle cables up.
T2040327 twin throttle cables $29.39 -- My cables are fine.
T2026150 brake lever assy $108.40 (every thing) -- What's included with everything? Is this the MC/P with brake lever?

I priced out a complete head light assembly and it was around $350-400. Altenator cover another $140. New tach was $242.

I posted earlier about any suggestions on a Discount parts supplier and no responses so far. 6-7 years ago I ran across a triumph dealer called Wilson or something. Carried triumph, MG, and ducati. I was able to get parts at 15-20% discount. I could not locate the dealer now.
