While checking the Thrux over for any additional problems, I noticed that there is a lip where the intake manifolds meet the head. Could removing or decreasing this lip be a potential source of more power? Anyone know if the upgraded manifolds meet up with the head more accurately?

Yes, stock ones! A air grinder at work, well I'm a machinist and do this type of work for a living.. I got the head off the Thruxton right now, those manifolds in the photo are off the Thruxton, but I put them on the bonnie when I pulled the airbox.. I should have did a before and after on a dyno, but time and money are a problem.. :-D

See, you guys get to use your work for recreation as well. If I did that, I'd go to jail. Guess I'm gonna have to look into other methods.

Yeah, changed jobs recently. No money in infantry in the aftermarket. Just seems that most corporations need information guys more than combat dudes. You'd have thought the opposite what with all the talk of "hostile takeovers". ***** corporations and their misleading use of jargon!
