So I’m currently installing the British Customs Air box elimination kit. The kit comes with no instructions. I can live with that, but a picture and a few diagrams would have saved me some head scratching time.

It came with this black aluminum bracket thing that I can’t for the life of me figure out where it goes.

Anybody out there that purchased the BC ABEK know what this thing is for?

Thanks

Surfer Joe - I've installed the kit and the Only thing I can think that your talking about is the carb support brace. Mine was notched at one end to hook over the spacer tying the carbs together and has a hole at the other for attaching to the frame under the fuel tank. That it?? post a pic if not. Can't imagine what else it could be. JCW

Do I have this upside down?

I have the open end attached to the carb brace but it seems like its not really doing anything.

Arrow points to the open end.

Anyone have an extra carb support brace they would be willing to let go of?

Surferjo, my support brace is mounted with the open end pointed up. Seems to help support the weight of the carbs.
So, I'd say you have yours upside down.

Ok I'll switch is around. Either way it dosent seem like its doing much.

I kind of feel like the open end should be around the tank brace but I cant figure out how to get that center bar detached from the carbs.

Surfer Joe - I've put on 11,000 miles with no carb support. Someone commented that the factory rubber mounts would fatigue and crack, but I haven't been that lucky (I'm looking for an excuse to buy the billet manifolds). JCW
