Have not been able to post a new member album (no time) so here some shots from our photo web page. Looking to clean up the wires and stuff next and then either air box mods or suspension (I am "leaning" towards the handling end).

Original/New

Mods - AI gone, TORS, gaiters, bar ends, dart screen, headlight visor, K&N filter

My other "passion"

Whoa, that's a serious transformation!

I like the eyebrow, but I'm not sure how I like it with the Dart flyscreen.

Yeah, that's what I think; one of those military kepis from the Napoleanic wars.

Thanks for the comments...

Yeah, I debate on the visor as I will not remove the flyscreen (works to well, looks better in person). The reason I keep it on is the retro factor (which I am after) and in So.Cal at Cooks, Ortega (Lookout Cafe) and Angeles Crest (Newcombs), I continually have the "old timers" (hey I'm 47!) tell me how much the bike and the "look" remind them of "the days" when they modded their bonnies, Nortons, and the like.

Wow, it does look like a hat. But it also makes it look old skool. First time I've seen it on a Thrux, but I am going for that look on my Bonnie.

It ocurrs to me that--in an effort to turn lemons into lemonade--perhaps you should think of it as giving personality to your bike?

Mancha,

These bike do have personality already.

I think M-bars and such make these bikes look like a cat that has gotten soaked and is pissed off.....the bars looking like folded back ears.

I think the visor itself looks like a winking eye....

But that's ok, because I have M-bars, and a visor already. Plus, with the drop in my insurance, I plan on ordering the National Cycle Fly Screen in a day or so.

So I guess my bike will be a soaking wet, one eyed cat with a Napoleon hat on. But I will still love it!
:-D

Everyone else's insurance is going UP and you've got some windfall profits? I'm going to have to call up my insurance agency.
