Does anybody out there have a set of Heli-bars on their Thruxton? The web site claims a 4 inch rise and 2 inches back which would make my 55 year old neck much happier than the stock bars.

There are quite a few on the forum running the helibars - and I seem to recall noting but good comments from the users. Like surfer joe said use the search button if you don't get any response because they have been discussed on numerous threads. I'm using the 3-way adjustable Tomaselli clip-ons and love them - cheapest place is Joe at cosmo motors. JCW

The Helibars made the Thruxton very ride-able for my 59 year old body.

Even my 36 year old body likes them. It more or less keeps the look, but with much better ergonomics.

Britone ... what kind of mirror do you have installed? I'm looking at putting some bar end mirrrors on and I haven't taken apart the helibars to see what kind of threads (if any) are on the bar ends. If yours screw right in then I am soooooo there.

O.K. - so am I the only one that think these things look a little ridiculous on a Thruxton? I mean, whay not just get a T-100 if you are going to do this???

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say they look "ridiculous", but I agree with you about the Thruxton-with-Helibars versus T100 decision. Having some easily adjustable bars (like the Tomseli's?) makes a little more sense, as one could have them low for around town, but high for longer trips.

I too think the Helibars look daft on the Thruxton. As a matter of fact I just emailed Helibars this morning to see if any of their other bars might fit the Thruxton......they couldn't tell me. The Helibars would look more acceptable if they only had a 2" rise instead of the current 4-3/4" rise. I suggested that they might think of making them with the 2" rise.
