Hey Guys,
I've started a thread in the Twin Talk forum about either reuniting the Twin Talk and Club Cafe forums, and/or splitting off the cruisers into their own forum. My feeling is that this Club Cafe forum really isn't working. Many of us feel the need to post our issues both here (out of loyalty I think) AND in the Twin Talk forum if we hope to get responses. This cross-posting need tells me that this Club Cafe forum is broke, and it needs some fixing. I wonder what you think? Please do not respond here ( :-D ), but rather, add your two cents to the discussion in Twin Talk:
thread
Whether you agree with me or not, I think it's important that the Thruxton riders be represented in the discussion. Thanks.
Mancha

I know I've only been here a couple months or so....grain of salt....
I use twin talk for tech help but use the club cafe for Thrux pics and inspiration so I like how it is set up but I've never known any different so...........
although I do wish there was more traffic going through here. Maybe if you get access to more forums as your postcount goes up and then you get a super secret forum that only the dudes with the special handshake can get into.

As far as merging goes,I wouldn`t mind combining the two. And as for forum traffic,IMO,Thrux owners are too busy riding their bikes to worry about mirror stem nuts and rack hardware. :-D

I do - I don't like wading through all the posts like
Which chain lube do I buy.
Which filter is better - K&N or Uni.
Which oil is best and how do I change it.
Harley vs Triumph... why don't they wave.
These I realize are needed for the inexperienced - I just think they come up so fast your more technical/informative post can quickly drop pages back before enough people get to see it and respond.
The lack of these types of posts here is why I like club cafe. The Bonnevilles are so popular and so many members are joining its just a lot of new topics in twin talk. JCW

Then we have the "Club Cafe" forum, which is dedicated to the Thruxton and anyone in the Bonneville camp who wants to turn their Bonneville into a Thruxton.

There are many users of the Cafe Forum that DO NOT ride twins and I for one would not consider turning my Thunderbird Sport into a Thruxton.

The problem is that no one uses the Club Cafe forum, and everyone who posts into the Club Cafe forum must also post into the Twin Talk forum if they hope to get any responses to their post.

There are over 10,000 postings in the Cafe Forum. I for one have posted on that forum and have never had to post to the Twin Talk to get a response.

In essense, I suggest that insterad of basing our forums on engines, lets base them on bike styles. The Bonneville, Thruxton and Scrambler are close enough to be in the same forum, while the cruisers deserve their own forum. That makes much more sense to me than the underutilized (and essentially useless) Club Cafe forum.

If Cafe Racer is not a style, then *** is it?
My vote is leave it as it is and if you are not happy with what's in a particular forum....don't go to that forum.

Exactly.
I guess those uppity Thrux guys just feel that their store bought cafes started the trend. I mean there is no way that someone, who cafed their triples long before the Thrux was a glimmer in Bloor's pants would find a benefit to having a separate cafe forum right?
I'm not too worried, just post where your intended crowd will have the best chance of reading it. Most everyone checks more than one forum anyway. Besides, why does anyone care if a particular section has a lower post count, that just means the pictures of your unique Thrux without a fender will stay on page 1 longer. :-D

I like the Cafe forum being on its own. I don't post much here as I don't plan to turn my bike quite into a look alike of TBSstunta but I love to lurk in here for ideas and whatnot. Cafe bikes are the pretties bikes in existence to me so lets keep this forum going :-D

Hm, this is the best point I've read so far. Some days, however, when I'm really bored at work and want to see something amazing, I just wish there was more going on in here. So I'm forced over to the Twin Talk forum, where I have to wade through the cruiser stuff. You're right though, I also have to wade through the fork oil, torque values, frequency-of-oil-change, etc. questions. When I see the same people in both forums though, and especially when I read the cross-posts, I wonder why there is a Club Cafe forum?
