Hi I'm from the Uk , well Scotland to be exact, just put my deposit down on an o5 plate black thruxton.....finally. Hope to pick it up at the end or middle of this coming week.

However I'm trying to find someone in the Uk that carries the D&D silencers, well it is to quiet on stock pipes and my old Honda 250 sounds more like a 900 than the thruxton does, so any help or point in the right direction would be appreciated .

cheers dave

Search the classifieds and see if anyone is offering them cheap. Although I love mine, it seems the D&D's have suddenly gone unpopular.

Oh, and welcome to the fold.

Welcome Dave.

Congrats on the new Thrux. You're going to love it.

I would personally recommend against the D&Ds. They are unbearably loud and the tone just isn't pleasant. I've heard the Staintunes and the South Bay Predators and think they both sound much better than the D&Ds.

I am happy with the Triumph Off-Road pipes. Unlike the Bonnie Tors, the Thruxton TORs have a decent volume and very nice sound.

Just my two cents.

Fow what it's worth, I love my D&D's, although I haven't heard anything else. They're loud, although they've never set off any car alarms. I don't think they're obnoxiously loud, although my wife says they're embarassingly so. I love the way they spit and growl when I'm off the accelerator coming to a stop. And I've been known to rev the engine now and then just to use them to let cagers know I'm next to them. I like the way their roar makes people look up when I start the bike in the parking lot.

I like my D&D's, sounds like a Old Triumph vs the Singer Sewing Machine exhaust systems. Plus I like the idea that I can repack them. I dont think you can do that with any other "Silencers".
