I've wanted to have just a large tach with a small LED speedo at the bottom. Has blinker, neutral lights among other cool features. I like the "look" of just a big tach for the instruments. Found this product - pricey but could be exactly what I'm looking for. Any one have experience with this product or know of a similar product. JCW

That looks pretty cool. Hard to get a good idea of exactly HOW large it is though, as all the pictures are closeups.

With a custom mounting plate, you could actually fit your ignition up there as well.

It looks like it is mounted in a Norton Commando instrument holder, so it should be the same diameter as the vintage british Smith's magnetic speedometer or tachometer, approx. 2-3/4".

The size is 85 mm or a little over 3 inches - same as the thrux. Good eye Britone that is a Norton in the pic.

Heres a Guzzi with their Motolight tach/speedo combo and on a Triumph America

You want the big one (the "classic"), right?

God (sorry, can't resist), ya gotta love Guzzis. I admire how they're so flat on top. Compare the Guzzi to the CB in this picture:

Yep - looking at the classic. I like the Guzzi's too, (but not as much as the Thruxton) there are some really cool Guzzi cafe bikes out there. Just trying too see if anyone has had experience with motogadet products. JCW

Ask, RaceDweeb! I think he posted something about those tachs! When he was at a motorcycle trade show, looking for new stuff!

04BB,

They were a different brand, but same concept. I like the 1/2 round LED module on the America. Pricey little buggers.

I checked the actual size of an older Smith's tach which has the following dimensions:

Diameter of outside case - 3.25"
Diameter of chrome face bezel - 3.5"

For the Motoscope Classic:
Diameter of outside case - 80 mm or 3.1496"
Diameter of aluminum face bezel - 85mm or 3.3465"

They state the prices already include VAT, so would they deduct that for shipments to the US? If so, that would save you quite a bit.

I kind of like the look of these instruments that Mecatwin uses. I can't find any info on them on the Mecatwin site. Any idea who makes them?
