The cheap ones that are available at Autozone, Checker, etc. work great too. As long as you get center of balance right and use tie downs you should be fine.

I got mine at Checker for like $55. It works great on my Yamaha. Almost identical to the one from Craftsman, but for less money.

I use the Craftsman lift and it works great.
The frame on my Thrux is lower than the headers - not by much but enough so that no weight is on the headers.
Check carefully - at first I thought the headers were below the frame.

I have the professional model. Only pluses I have seen is its lighter and comes with a set of three inch risers, if your lifting something with a high frame like a ATV.
Cons. It doesn't have the foot pump like the standard model, so you jack it up with the handle, which is also the same handle you use to move it around. Can be a bit of a pain, but it works
