Took it down to Nashville yesterday. Altitude was 540ft. Weather was just about to pour. After 13 runs, ended up with 40 pilots, 1 shim, and mains that are somewhere around 153. We drilled out a 150. I had a max of 71 HP with 58 ft lbs torque. The tech suggested using a bigger main because it was leaning out when holding the throttle at 100mph. That gave me 67.5 HP. He said it would be better on the interstate that way. I don't really do much interstate riding on it, so I'll probably go back to the 153ish main. The bike has the Mototwin SS pipes and no airbox. Not sure what the swept back pipes will do, but hopefully I can report on them in April. I'll try to photograph the graph, but I'll probably have to wait until I can scan it.

I like them a lot. At first, I thought they were too quiet, but then rode my Bonnie behind a friend riding the Thrux. Definitely a big difference. I got to hear them at 100 mph the other day - really good sound.

Can you post some new photos in your album, of the Thruxton with the mototwin pipes...

Thanks, 04BB...
