Well I walked into the local HD dealer the other day (not to purchase a HD ...or a bike) and found a 05 Thrux with just under 600 miles on it. To my amazemnet some one traded it in on a Harley (GASP) :wow:
Needless to say I could not let such a machine be neglected or mistreated anymore. ( I bought it the next day )

Anyways until I get my 77 Tiger restored again I have finally filled that empty void of not being able to ride a Triumph.

PICS

Hey Lightning-

Congrats on the bike! I'm almost happy for you. I say almost because I went to buy that bike on Saturday, but was too late. I took it for a short test ride on Tuesday morning, then came back with the wife Saturday to pick it up. Guess I should have called first.

I just had to tell you your timing was fortunate. BTW, do you know what brand pipes are on it? That's the only thing I didn't like, as I felt they were too loud for the neighborhood I live in.

I believe D&D's from what a few people have said. But I cant find a good enough pic of D&D's to be for sure. As for the noise level I don’t think they are too loud.
I idle thru the neighborhood in 2nd and it is much quieter than the few kids with their sport bikes down the street.

I would say it was pure luck... everyone that worked there had an eye on it too. I walked in there Wed as saw it, went back up the next morning to buy it. I knew it would not last the weekend there with all that going on.
