I installed these Mini LED signals that look like "kellermann" but don't cost as much from www.motorcyclemods.com. The lights look great and all work when powered direct from a battery. But after installed on the bike I just can't figure out why they will not light up.

I'm going through the same thing. LED's don't draw the same voltage as bulbs so your flasher relay thinks there are no bulbs hooked up. Therefore no flasheroo! A load equalizer will fix this or if you are inclined to wait until monday afternoon I will be trying an alternate bolt on option to a load equalizer. I just don't want to promote it yet because I don't have it and I don't know if it will work. I will report my findings ASAP monaday afternoon.

Figured it out. Ya, need a load equalizer.
Found The Universal Flasherz is designed to replace the standard 2 & 3 prong flashers. The flasher is fully solid state and is not load dependent.
find it on this page. load equalizer

Not sure the load equalizer will fix it...you may need to be sure that the body of the light is adequately grounded. Some aftermarket signals and taillights complete the curcuit by grounding the light housing...if the housing is insulated from bare metal by nylon washer or similar no current will flow and bingo, no light.

Anyway, it's an alternative hypothesis. Good luck. :-)

That one still looks like you have to splice it into the factory harness. The one I found is just a connector to replace your stock flasher. I'll let you know how it works!

Any updates? I just installed LED turn indicators and do not get any light at all. I've read some about load resisters per indicator lamp, but I don't want to go that route.

Did you go with a 2 amp or 4 amp Load Equalizer? I have some black LP LED turn signals on the way so I may be in the same boat.

Thanks

Man, I give up. I took the relay and led signals back and ordered bullets from British Customs. But thanks for playing. :-D

No, I didn't see that one. I only tried the one relay recommended by the shop I was dealing with. Because there was little mentioned about no flash (much on fast flash), I decided to just stick with standard bulbs.
