This is toally from left field but...

The last few times that I've been riding my '04 Thruxton, I could swear that when I'm at speed it sounds EXACTLY like I'm in a Cessna. Has anybody else ever thought this? Maybe I'm just retarded...

FWIW, I was doing 4250rpm at 70mph. K&N Filter, 115 Mains, 42 Pilots, and a Staintune exhaust.

YMMV,

Stormin!

Would that be a 140, 150, 172, 180, 182, 185, 190, 195 or 210... or maybe a Citation X... oh no... it's a twin! 410 ?

With my D&D's modded abit, there's absolutely no doubt, I'm riding a Trumpet!

I've never been in a Cessna but I can attest to the fact that the factory pipes have to go. I have recently installed the D&D's and prior to them going on all I could hear was that unforgettable "Meet George Jetson" bweebweebweebwee! After allowing it to yell for a while I may repack them, or not!

hmmm.. sounds more like a sewing machine to me.

On another note, we have a classic airplane show here in Tucson, and a couple years ago a P-51 mustang flew over my house at what had to be 100' and full throttle. Now that was a noise I'll never forget.

Wow, I didn't even know that aftermarket pipes were available for Cessnas. Better start saving...

What exactly did you do to your D&D's? I love 'em but I have a feeling my neighbors don't share in the joy of a Trumpet at full song (or an idle at 0500) :???:

Not to mention an occasional A-10 Thunderbolt jock and his/her IP doing aerobatics - Used to live in Tucson and remember it well!
