There's a friend of my good riding buddy who has wanted to ride my Thruxton for awhile now. Well he's got a '05 SpeedTriple and I've been thinking that would be a pretty good swap.
So Saturday we finally hooked up on a vintage ride and did it.
I got to chase him through the back roads here for about 50 miles and listen to my bike from everyone else's perspective.
Dang if it don't sound sweet! and that's not just my opinion. At the first stop a couple of the other guys (The one's riding the vintage Velocette's, Triumph's and Norton's) all said the same thing. But the best comment was: "Sounds like a Triumph"...
Oh yea, Riding the speed triple was a bunch o fun t'boot. Now the S3 is not necessarily a bike I'd want. Don't like sittin up that straight, and actually felt there was a little too much leverage with the wide bars. But man that motor is sweeet!
Makes me want a new D675 even more
