I got the Tiger thinking some two up and camping trips. That has not happened. So this looks like a great solo bike, although it will be hard to let go the triple.

This made me wonder how many own one bike? Looking through the owner review, it looks like most have other rides. So now I'm not so sure this is a good only bike. The Tiger spoils me, but I've owned brutal bikes in the past and did just fine. I'm like many many people, just taken by the Thruxton.

Did read some threads on long distance riding, that helps.

Thruxton is my only bike for now. But, it's 'winter' here and I'm not riding much, expect to add something by Spring. Odd as it may seem, I'm kind of looking at a BMW F650 GS, the new ones are reduced to 'just' $7500, I always liked a good thumper. They are not as 'Buck Rogers" looking as the CS, which has been dropped for '06. Would make a great bike for my daily commute, which is about 13 miles of backroads in rural Pennsylvania. Heated grips, ABS, soft or hard side bags, tail bags, etc.

Yeah, the Thruxton is my only ride right now. I don't even have a car!
Funny stuff, there have been times when I've owed 4 or 5 bikes and 2 cars. Im certain I'll be adding to my stable quite soon.

I have four bikes, but I can't remember the last time I've rode another one, so its kind of like the Thruxton is my only bike

I only got the thrux, but man it makes me feel good! If money ever allows, I am sure I would add to the stable though. But for now, the only bike for me, is my loud ass thrux!

cheers, jason

The Thruxton is my daily rider and does about 3/4ths of my longer rides. But sometimes the crowd is a bit faster and the Thruxton barely cuts it then -- the CBR comes out.

I used to have two bikes, but the Trux gives me the nimbleness I loved in the CB and more power than the 750 could deliver. I use it as my only vehicle except when were having a Louisiana deluge, then I use my wifes car. I don't mind riding in the rain, and find the thrux great in the wet, but sometimes in LA the storms are just suicidal. For the few times a really want to ride something faster, I have no problem finding CBR, Ducati and GSXR riders who want to trade for a few miles.

I sold my Buell to buy my Thruxton. Then, in a fit of sadness, I bought back the old paint mixer. Having two bikes is great for me because the two are so different in riding style and seating position. But both are loaded with "character." My mood determines which bike gets my attention that day.

If you think a Thruxton with D&D is loud, you should hear an air-cooled 1203cc Buell with D&D! Good golly Ms. Molly.

Have a few bikes, all but one are Triumph. Sure would like to add a Scrambler to the collection. I'm working on trying to buy a 1932 Sloper off a guy right now but he's not bitting.
