Speedo Error

Hey Guys,

I am new to Triumph, picked up a 11 black Thruxton which I love and Was wondering about how accurate the speedos are. I am familiar with
Japanese brands but not Triumph. Based on how traffic flows around me on highways I would guess that they are closer in accuracy then the Japanese

Nothing wrong with the speedo. The bike is actually going that slow : ) . Enjoy the ride.

IIRC there is about a 5mph error that reads "fast". So when it says 65 you are doing 60 really... It was a while ago and many mods ago that I ran down the freeway next to the wife in the car...

My '06 Thruxton is about 5MPH fast at about 65 MPH (actually going 60 per the GPS).

Thanks, Most of the Jap speedos are about 7 mph off at highway speeds.
