Our machines are new, finely tuned they will run great as long as they have some back pressure. Old bikes that's a whole different matter but that's not the subject at hand. Your d&d's Arnt going to make your bike noticeably faster than lets say my thunders if you tune your machine correctly for each set up...If you think any different you live in a dream world.

"It's is absolutely true, a d&d does not make anymore power than lets say a bub or thunderbike. "

=================

I absolutely disagree with this statement. You essentially are saying that the pipe design has little or nothing to do with the power potential of the exhaust in question. Primary pipe diameters and lengths have everything to do with where the power peak will happen for a given exhaust setup...to think otherwise is, well, wrong.

I had a thunderbike header and, unless you modify the baffle system, it is a cork when compared to a D&D. Good luck selling that pipe for 500 bones...mine was a chore to unload for the $200 it's worth.

Key word was noticeably different, yes different sizes will create different peaks but does not mean it will make your bike faster unless accompanied with better carbs etc... Etc....

What makes the d&d race pipes work is bigger header and better bends that flow way better.The highest hp dyno run so far on these motors with out a turbo was done with the d&d 2into1.
Hi mike
Thanks for your reply, do the d&d 2into 1 come in brushed stainless
Finish,i am not a keen fan of the black finish.
Why would ya give up 5 hp with the 2 into2 ?
Purely for sound and that ya make enough hp already?
Cheers

Cheers mike
I have another question what about ground clearance cornering,I have lowered the front of my bike by about 18mm due to fitting a 17 " front
wheel. I don"t scrape the Exhuast at the moment but LSL foot pegs come very close.
I may kinder hoping with pipes running under centre off bike it shouldn't be an issue.

I dont think cornering will be any trouble the low part of the system is near the center of the bike.But they might hit on speed bumps mine did now and then .D&D made these pipes for the cup guys.I dont know how low they will be on your bike the part that is low to the ground will be about where the set starts in the front where the 2 headers go into 1 bigger pipe
