Wow....that's a rather large jump. I would suggest taking one for ride to see if you connect with it....to me the Thruxton overcomes all it's inadequacies as an old school bike by pure character. It's also a open canvas to modify to your heart's delight....I wouldn't sell mine for anything.

Thanks again, I'm going to check one out on Sunday, there is a dealer near me that has one as a demo..... hopefully it doesn't rain.

Just remember to ignore the light-switch throttle response. That can fixed in about two minutes.

I switched from a VFR 800 to a Thruxton and have no regrets, but... I recommend keeping the Ducati AND buying the Triumph if you are looking for true happiness. One bike is never enough.

Shove a marble in the air induction tube.

Plenty of posts on AI removal but the short version is to pull the left side-cover and look for a tube that exits up near the tank. Shove a marble, ball bearing, etc. in there. Put the tube back in the airbox and be amazed. Later on you can yank all the crap associated with the system.
