I for one can't watch that movie enough. Everytime I watch it I notice some detail I hadn't before and I must have watched this movie about 70 times. I credit this movie with my love for the Thruxton as the bronze rode some bad a*& Kawasakis that were kind of cafed out.
I love the scene were Goose is leaving the apartment of some floosy he had just spent the night with. He gets on his KZ1000, puts it in gear and flicks the starter. There is a closeup of the muffler and the sound is loverly. Kind of reminds me of the sound of the Predators on the Thrux.
Great Movie I have it on DVD, think I'll watch it soon.
Their is another great Australian Cult Biker movie called "Stone" try to get a copy well worth it, especially the scene of 2 bikes in a mono duel, one is a Kwaka 900 and i think the other is a Triumph Bonneville or Norton Commando, not sure as I have'nt seen this film for ages..............
Think I'll get a copy of "Stone" as well.................
I own and love all 3 of them, but agree with Dr. English about the third. My first bike was a suzuki gs750 1979 and I stripped everything that said suzuki off and painted the whole bike flat black. The bike was wrecked multiple times before I owned it, a real fixer upper. I made the whole bike with that movie in mind, and it was awsome. With my mohawk and all the chains on my jacket I know I made drivers take a second look. Rode it till it fell apart.
Right after Hurrican Rita when gas prices had shot up really high (sorry euro folks but to us $4 gallon is really pricy) and there was all that gouging. I went around telling everyone to just walk away from the fuel. If they left the fuel and I would gaurantee them safe passage through the wasteland. All in my best LH voice. :-D
