As you probably know I bought the Davida Classic Jet helmet. Yes, it's open face and I know most of you are freaked out by that. It IS DOT approved and it is absolutely beautiful. I love it. I went ahead and ordered the "Aviator Goggles" from Jettisonusa too and got them in yestarday. I gotta tell ya, these are freakin sweet. They way they are constructed and the history behind them is really cool. They look fantastic on the helmet.

Today is a sunny day, the first in a long time here. I'm washing the bike this morning and going for a ride with the new helmet and goggles for the first time. I'll let you know how it all felt.

Anyway just wanted to let you all know, it you're in the market for a set of goggles and you want something with a retro vibe, these are fantastic.

See ya.

Frankie, very cool! Let us know how the googles work out. I am on the verge of ordering a Jet as well and have heard some googles work, some don't.

Be safe, have a great ride!

Hmm.. Maybe I should pull a Toecutter and wear goggles with my full-faced helmet. Then again, that could curse me and I'd run head on into a truck screaming "DO YOU SEE ME BRONZE?!" :brk:

The ride was great. It did rain on me for about 2 mins. A lot of the roadway was muddy from slides going to the lake but is was still fun.

The Davida helmet was VERY cool. It was soooo quiet and comfortable. I really loved it. The goggles at first were not so cool. I had a bunch of air coming in on the left side. We made a few stops and each time I tried to figure out how to make them seal well. finally I got it.

After you put the helmet on and put the goggles on your face, you have to put your hands on the sides of the helmet and pust the elastic band upward a bit. Then readjust the goggles upward just a bit so the bottom of the goggles rests just above your cheek bones.

Once I figured it out they were awesome!

The pisser is I took the time to wash the bike all nice and nifty for the ride and then I got caught in the rain.... It was all for nothing. Oh well, at least it looked kick ass for the first half of the ride.

Ton Up boys!

Pretty expensive goggles. I have a full face and a half helmet but not a davida and when I use the half helmet and I ride with goggles I get an enormous amount of looks.

It really looks old school. I get a lot of Harley riders that ask a lot of questions. Its fun! Enjoy the ride!

Dude I know... the looks are great. As I was leaving my last stop on yestardays ride I had a little fan club (2 people) just to hear the bike start and drive away. I think my riding buddies are a little jealous about all the attention my Thrux gets - I love it.

very cool. I also had picked up a retro styled open helmet (put checherboard pattern on it) and goggles (mine will fit over glasses) as well as an aviator scarf for that true dorky retro look during events/poker runs etc. laugh
