Not to be too much of a geek about this, but what brand/type wrench did you use? I've got a standard Sears Craftsman 13mm open end wrench, and I'm thinking it would open up and round the bolt head before it would loosen it.. Did you use a fancy SnapOn wrench or something like that?

Other notes on the AI delete:

The instructions that came with the NB kit are specific to the carb'ed Bonnie's. I was pretty confused at first, but I found this thread that sorted it out:

http://www.triumphrat.net/twins-tech...nny-thrux.html

There's a link in that thread to another that explains removing the tank on an EFI bike pretty well. I also didn't realize until I read that thread that I needed to go get the 50-ohm resistor and wire that in, but that was pretty easy, and Radio Shack had the part. Some heat-shrink and a zip-tie made it look factory. I'm surprised there isn't a "deluxe EFI eddition" AI kit that comes with a plug-in resistor for the factory plug. At the point where I realized I'd need to borrow a car for the trip to RS, I would've paid another $30 to have a plug-in solution an be done with it.

I used a Craftsman 13mm combination wrench, and a couple sharp wraps with a rubber mallet. In my experiance this trick works great on stubborn fasteners, or those where the wrench engagement is less than ideal. Ymmv.

I am liking the looks of the green Thruxtons. They look nearly as fast as the red ones, but only nearly!
