I'm planning on getting my own Thruxton in the new green. Where I'm from, for me to roll one out of the dealership, it is going to cost ~ $22,000, half of which goes to the government for import taxes.

Just picked up mine from LA Cycle sports in Inglewood. It's a Red 2012 $9699 OTD. Was quoted same price of $9699 for the '13 Brookland Green and $9999 for the '13 black

I think the black looks really awesome. What I don't understand is, why the dealerships are charging more for the color black? It is the same bike, and both green and the black are metallic flake.. Has it something to do with the number of black they anticipate getting versus the other color?

I saw the black one when I was there and I think it must be a demand thing for the black? Still, way to stick it to you. On another note, I highly recommend LA Cycle sports. They quoted me a great price including all the fees with no bull. I was in and out of there in 40 minutes.
