To help put things in perspective regarding your experience this is what I just went through:
Said there were no 2012 Thruxton's in California. This was ******** as I had an OTD price worked out with a dealer in LA on a red one. So lie #1.
said they have only 1 2013 Jet Black Bonnie in their warehouse and his boss "is on the phone with another guy about it right now" ********. They also didn't know what a Jet Black was and we talked about swapping covers so I could get it all black. Ugh! I only found out today there was a blacked out T100. I called another dealer and they have 2 in their warehouse. Coincedentally I came to find out they are sister dealerships and share the same inventory. ^@$^&@$
So the short of it is, dealers are full of ****. Drives me crazy every damn time I buy a bike I go through the same motions. Even if I tell em I've heard it before they start from the beginning. No or little inventory. Cost is MSRP plus X,Y,Z,.
