I'm jealous... Here in London the cheapest I can get a New Thruxton for is about $11,500...
...and the factory is only 100 miles away

I laid a 20% deposit on a 2013 Thrux here in Australia the other week. The bike was $14,900 altogether (which is $15,403 USD and £9,612 GBP) which I still feel is a good deal, considering some dealers are still trying to move 2012 models for over $15,400 AU.
The woman who owns the dealership is being very accommodating with any extras I can think of too.

I'm in Rhode Island and there is at least one Thruxton in every dealer within an hour or so (4 dealers). And I'm pretty sure some of them are 2012s.
I bought mine in June and ended up at MSRP + a small doc fee after starting at a MUCH higher price. I basically shopped around and on the day I was ready to pull the trigger called the two places I wanted to do business with and said "I'm ready, what's the bottom-line price, you get one shot at it".
As for others, I envy no one who gets a deal, more power to them. And if you paid more than me and you are happy with what you got for the money, that's cool too. After all, you just bought a motorcycle, how bad a day can that ever be?

I think the OP paid too much. I told him where to go and he went to Berts. Yikes! I got mine for $9,999 out the door. They used to be called "Out the Door Cycles." If you look at my post on 2013 Thruxton, you will see my plate..OTD.
This weekend they had one black, one red-2012- $9899, and a green left in stock. Good luck.
