Wrap starting from back to front. You can probably find some useful videos on Youtube also.

For my 2012 Thruxton, is 50' of 2" enough for both? Or do I need two rolls?

50' is enough. I had some left over. Not too hard, good luck!

IF your pipes were losing pressure and exhaust velocity, you will notice a difference in exhaust tone... If no tone change, they were scavenging properly

Don't you start from the header backwards, otherwise the wrap will be exposed/ open and dirt or water can get in?

Please post some pics, would like to see how it came out.

All done!!! Turned out GREAT! The hardest part was being patient and letting the wrap dry, and the silicon spray dry...only took a few minutes for the moisture and other good stuff to burn off. I will post pictures tomorrow, as it's almost midnight here...looks especially great with my black BC predators!!!

Thanks everyone! Btw, no tone change as far as I can tell...just sounds bada$$

I have always wondered this too. It is certainly not a popular choice in South Africa; indeed locally I have never seen any bike so equipped! Do UK riders follow this practice much? To be very honest I never saw it back in the day there either. Not to be totally ignorant then, but I am presuming on the (Hinckley) Triumph Bonneville range it is more of a styling/customizing choice?

hey DeanRider how things going? i agree with you, not many South Africans doing it. i want to do mine, so i qeuss i will be the only guy in SA that has done it,haha

i know it reduces the temperature under the hood of a car, on a bike i can only think it will reduce the heat from the pipes as it is a air cooled motor marginally but from a style point it looks the bees knees!
