I orderded the FEK from Maund on eBay. In order to mount the turn signal lights I fabbed a bracket myself. But, having said that, check with Maund as I think I read somewhere that he is also selling a bracket now too.
Edit: just found it - http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...id=90466899003
As for battery re-location, it is simply a visual preference some people prefer. It can open up the side view of a bike if you pull the air box, sidecovers, and battery.

Ordered the Maund kit today. The finish looks like it goes with the current satin look of the various engine covers. Once I figure out what I want to do with those, I'll probably do the same to the maund assembly.

I wanted to get some more "picturesque" pictures so I can send them to Canyon Racer as well, for his blog. Here are a couple that I took of the finished job.

That's a good question. Haven't seen it at night yet. From what I can tell seeing it in the day and in my garage, it's the same as stock.

Chewbacca, that bike looks pretty badass with the rims done. I am going with the maund kit as well, but just a quick question, did you hardwire the brake lights or buy a lighting harness.

I bought the harness from newbonneville.com. That being said, this FEK was a little more costly that I would have thought.
Maund Kit=$189 + Shipping=$200
Harness+shipping=$60
Matching front turn signals=$25
Total cost was just shy of $300. I suppose you could cut and splice direct, or cut the existing harness and splice into that. You would save about $60. I just felt that this was the best way.

I figured out a number of cheaper solutions, but in the end, the positive reviews (and all the comments about the quality of the kit) swayed me to buy the Maund FEK off of Eaby this am. When I started modding my other vehicle (FJ Cruiser), I excitedly ordered a number of parts from the interwebs with "too good to be true" prices, and, you guessed it: they were cheap knock-offs of good parts that fit like crap, and wound up resold (at a huge loss) rather than on the truck. I figure modding the Thrux, while not cheap, isn't *that* expensive. If I can afford the best, I might as well have it.
Pics to come when the goods arrive next week!

Don't get me wrong, that is the only FEK that I found that was exactly what I wanted. The biggest thing was that it incorporates a signal mount. I didn't want them relocated to the shock or anything. I would buy it again. I just thought it was good info to post out there, to know the true cost of this mod with the Maund kit.
