Fred,
I haven't committed to it yet, but the guys I spoke of above are putting a list together of interested parties in another CLASS session.... possibly May. They aren't Triumph riders; I anxiously await further information about what you briefly mentioned with regard to a TRIUMPH DAY. That aside, I REALLY need to learn how to ride! 33 years, over a dozen bikes, and a tendency to put 24,000 miles a year on my bikes....... does not a good motorcyclist make.
With regard to your "jet kit", hmmmm, might be what I need. I have some flat spots I'd like taken care of, maybe replace this big K&N with some individual pods, and find the allusive race-bred two-into-one exhaust (SR Racing?).
Back to my head shake:
I bumped the front tire pressure up to 38 psi as suggested.
(Note: I have a basic BonnieBlack with a 19" front & 17" rear. I also carry Hepco Becker hard bags full of sh*t, not to overlook my 250 phatass.)
I found that 38 psi all but totally eliminated any head shake on decel' with my hands off the handlebars. I have since lowered my rear tire air pressure by one pound to 40 psi, and tried a compromise between my prior 34 up front & the 38 psi; yesterday I ran 36 psi. I like 36 psi best.
Still haven't bought that steering damper, still spending my money on expensive lunches with Red Wine instead........
