Just got my 2012 Thruxton Saturday and want some feedback on different after market exhaust systems you guys are using. Dealer sells and installs Arrow, the 2 in 1 looks good, but $1300!!! In addition to sound, do any of these offer performance upticks?
I'm running the arrow 2-1 on my bike, it's a work of art.
I paid $1099 from my dealer, but I installed it myself. Took about 3 hours total after work one day, and the dealer flashed the ECM for me in the house when I brought it by.
Was that $1300 including installation and flashing?
Also, it definitely provided a clearly noticeable increase in power with the flash over the stock cheesy exhaust.
British-Customs Predators or SouthBay Dominators (basically the exact same pipe). Can't go wrong with either one and about $525 for just the pipes. You'll find a lot of positive feed back for both. Both are all stainless steel construction, including the mechanical baffle. They're guaranteed to not rust and small scratches can be easily polished out as opposed to chrome. The best way to buy either is in the performance package which includes the pipes, air box removal kit, air injection removal, K&N filters (or similar), jet kit and oil breather filter. You'll save a big chunk of change buying the package as opposed to the individual items.
Triumph Performance USA's package is a little cheaper but identical to B-C Predator's package.

sorry unfortunately I am technically challenged not only in bike repairs but I love the sound and it turns heads always as I approach and am told by my ride buddy that it the best sound, deep growl as you wind it up. But caution, make sure you remove the baffles as sound not the same with them in.
just a matter of taste and gee the beauties are seen from both sides as you growl past!!
