Just surfing the web dreaming up crazy things to do to my Thrux, I ran into this:

Fuel Injection Kits

I suppose if you had around $2,600 burning a hole in your pocket, and you absolutely hate carbs and their inconsistencies and want the advantages of programmable fuel injection, you can get these people to build you a fuel injection kit (you state throttle body size, peak HP, injector size, etc).

Pretty tight, but expensive.

how about supercharging the thruxton , wouldnt be too hard to fit a small supercharger between the carbs and the manifold and you could run it off the drive cog sprocket

just need to make up a small screen/cage to cover the belt-drives ?????

I'd suggest you'd want to drive a blower from the crankshaft. How would you set up for boost that changed every time you changed gear?

Still, a blower might be a nice addition if you were to go for the sprint bike look.

Pete.

Bluejeans: Will those pipes fit my T100?<g>

Dave: Driving a supercharger off the final drive is not a good idea as rpms change with gear selection. A better solution is to use an electric motor driven blower. There are several versions out there that I bet can be easily packaged into a Bonnie chassis.

I have been looking at the motorcycle superchargers out there and the big problem I see is where the heck to run it from the crankshaft. The ones I see made for HD and other big twins would require a unit that replaces your crankshaft cover and taps into the crankshaft. Four our bikes, that would require some creative thinking and fab to get that to work. I don't think any kit like that exists for our bikes.

Of course, you can always turbocharge your thrux - that is more cost effective, minus the time (if you do it yourself) or cost of fabbing a custom exhaust, intake plenum, etc to get it to work. Don't know if anyone makes anything like that for the Bonnie/Thrux. I did find this company:

Turbo Bonnie Pics

There is a Garrett GT15 Turbo on ebay right now for around 500 bucks.

The "boost is good" bonnie turbo would fit a Thrux, I imagine...but it's so ugly and at least half the appeal of the T is the esthetics.
