Are the '04 specs the same as the 05? Like needles- carbs, HP,
865cc etc.? I have a chance to buy a new one and wondered if it is the same as the 05 model.

As far as I know the only thing they changed for the '05 from the '04 was the paint, ('04, red or black, '05, black, yellow or blue).
I've got a red '04 Thrux and it has the 865cc engine and the tapered carb needles, etc.

Cheers, Moff

Yes, I think it's the same. But because it's been on the shop floor a little while you should get a deal. Remember that if you had to sell it, it would automatically be 2 years old plus and would therefore discount accordingly.

I bought my '04 as new in April of '05. As a result of my dealer "really wanting to move" the older model, I got a pretty good deal on it.

You may be able to also get them to waive the extra freight and / or setup charges, which may help you.
