Are you sure its not the infamous cosmolene - the stuff the Poms coat your bike with so it doesn't corrode on the trip across? If your Thrux hasn't done many miles its a safe bet that's what it was. Some folks have reported it appearing even after getting up towards 1000 miles.
Anyway, if it doesn't come back there's nothing to worry about unless you're paranoid like me and worry that it MIGHT come back.
