Has anyone installed a Dunstall fairing on his Thruxton or has seen pictures of it? I'd love to see how it looks.

Something like...

or...

Some one posted this photo a while back - I think this is Norman Hyde's fairing set-up with either John Deere or Lotus Racing colors - depending on which side of the pond your on. JCW

That is close to what I'm looking for. Although: the way the headlamp sticks out is kinda awkward.

Do you know who the guy is?

See this thread:

I am also interested in installing this fairing on to my bike. However, I am doing all of the other changes (rear fender elimination etc.) before tackling adding the fairing.

I talked to Mike at Bella Corse. He was very helpful. Their kit has the fairing as well as the mounting hardware. I think it also included the hardware to move the headlight forward. You also need to relocate the ignition switch. They have a kit to do this as well.

I like the bullet-nose clear plexi (Lexan?).

The classic bikini is a nice touch on a vintage cafe bike.

Hi hyperview,

have you asked Mike how much the fairing (+mounting hardware) is at Bella Corse?

Relevant eBay auction:

Click

Tempting. Kills me he mentions that it would fit other bikes with same size headlight, but doesn't bother saying what that size is.

Here is the link that lists the parts for one of their project sites. http://www.bellacorse.com/silverstone.htm

I think that was around $600.00 Canadian for the fairing kit. $60.00 US for the ignition relocation kit.

I did a calculation in my head as I was talking to him and assumed with paint it would cost around $1000.00 Canadian.

Since you are in Europe, have you looked that the Norman Hyde site?

I found another source:

The shop is called wbo racing (By the way...the webpage is in German, only. If you need a translation, let me know)

They have some cool stuff, like aluminum tanks, race seats and fairings. And the prices are really fair.

The price of these fairings are 192 Euros, incl. screen. It's available in white or black. If you want a different color it's an extra 25 Euros. Delivery time is up to 4 weeks.

This is a Imola fairing:

This is a Avon race-fairing (but can be provided with head lamp-hole, too):

The shop owner told me that the nose cone fairing-form was bought by a Rickman Fan in the UK. He didn't know any address, but mentioned that the price of a fairing is approx. 500 Euros.
He also said his Avon fairing is identical - without the cone, though.

My feeling is that it will be hard to find a cheaper fairing. Even considering the bad exchange rate for you guys.
