Well....you kinda can't but you can lol. You'd have to run spacers around the stock 17mm axle to fit the 25/30mm gsxr axle holes in the forks. You'd also have to run an older Axial brake style fork in order to be able to run the correct caliper offset to match up to the rotor.

If you wanted to run a single radial caliper, you'd have to sort the correct offset and find a rotor with the right offset that would actually fit the thruxton wheel.

On top of all that, you could only run one brake.

If you wanted to keep the spoke wheel look, run the Ducati Sport Classic front wheel using the correct offset rotors to fit the gsxr radial caliper. Ducati also runs a 25mm axle width so it would just be a matter of machining up the right spacers to fit it between the gsxr fork legs.

Good luck finding a clean stock Sport Classic front wheel though...they're hard to come by.

To make it easier on myself I bought a pair of Carro wheels:

http://www.forged-wheel.com/VstarSingle.htm

Got a GSXR front wheel and the Thruxton for the rear to avoid having to deal with spacers and axle problems.

I really like the look of the wheels all blacked out and love the weight savings (the wheels combined weigh less than one of my original wheels) but I know others that want the wire wheel look. There are certainly ways to do the wire wheels if you don't mind the added weight. Finding the right spacers for the front wheel are certainly possible.

This is exactly what I was planning to do. Seemed the logical thing here.

I wanna see some pics when you get this all together

For Danbuc and any others in interested in the progress in my project I have been updating it here. Hopefully will be all done this week or next and will continue to update.

Also the guy who built me my custom triples has more available if anyone is of interest, (his contact info is listed on my progress page).

It's coming together really nice so far. Dig the olive drab paint scheme. Very nice choice on the motogadget cluster as well, really flows with the top triple!
