I have been belssed with long legs for my arm length. I have been experimenting with altering my seat height on my Thrux to eliminate the hip pain I get after 20 miles. I took a Sprint ST for a ride and had a similar sensation (WOW the heat off the engines onto the legs is as bad as they say!!). I jury-rigged a cushion that adds 2 inchs to the seat height and voila, hip, wrist, shoulder and neck pain gone. I am considering doing either a custom seat mod by Sargeants or adding the Airhawk air cushion with a bit of foam to tilt. Anyone else have experience with either of these? I am concerned that I will make the bike look goofy with a big hump in the seat so I am tempted to go with the airhawk since it is only on longer rides I am bugged and it would be removable.

A fully inflated Airhawk is about 1-1/2" tall.Supposed comfort comes from letting the air out to a 1/2".If your only going to use it on the freeway,I`ll sell you one for 1/2 price. When you get to the twisties remove it pronto. The air transfering amongst the chambers as you move is very disconcerting if you ride by the seat of your pants.
