There are "three" engines in out there. The 790cc engine, the 865cc Thrux, and the 865cc 05 Bonnie T-100. The cams might be different beteen the 790 and the 865, but according to the manual. There is not a difference between the cams on 865cc Bonnie and Thrux.

It is starting to look like there are two (360*) engines to me.

If the cam timing, displacement, and compression ratio are the same between the Thrux and T100, and the only published difference is the ******** claimed output from Triumph...I'd be led to believe that they are the same engine!

Does anyone have any idea how much Triumph would get for those 790 cams?

I have the service manual for the 05 models. I can tell you that all specs for every engine part in the Thruxton and T100 are identical. All tolerances and all cam timings and the carburettors included. The only part that is different between the two is the exhaust. I think it likely this is where the torque and horsepower differences come from. If anyone is interested I can post the specifications layed out in the manual.

"The only part that is different between the two is the exhaust. "

That's what I think also. I used to think it was the cams, but the part numbers are the same.
