Fred - I'm a fan of red and black and like the color combo. Heres my .02 cents worth, overall the bike is too "busy" for my taste. I would totally black out the side covers and eliminate the black and white checkers on the fender, cowl, and tank. This would clean up the overall appearence, because to me the combo of stripes, checks, scallops, thruxton stickers, and side vents are now all fighting each other for attention. This is my personal taste though - I have never been a big fan of stickers, decals, and graphics. JCW

Keep the stripes! I can't imagine a thrux w/o 'em. I'm revamping one of my 72 bonnies to look just like the thruxton and went to extrodinary measures to get the stripes. It's almost done. You guys are gonna flip, if I don't flip out before it's finished. It's become an obsession.

I agree with another poster that it's starting to look too busy. If you're going to go with the paintjob, get rid of the checkers.

I also don't like the red and black. It's hard to say what's wrong with it though: Perhaps it's just a little too bold. I do very much like the design though.

Looks good but I would also add some color to the intake covers. I like the red better than the stock maroon.

T1, I think black and silver would look better than red but thats just me. I would try many colors with photo shop, give silver a try I would like to see what that looks like.

I'm a fan of black and red. But, I'd be interested in seeing it in black/silver and black/yellow. Please post those if you get around to it.

Thanks.
