Tire Recommendations, Please

Fellow Cafe Enthusiasts,
I'd like to upgrade the stock tires on my 08 Thrux. The two brands I have in mind are Pirelli Sport Demons and Michelin Pilot Activs. Which would you all recommend. If not these two, then what other brands/models should I consider? Thanks for your feedback!

Yet to try the Avons but will likely do next tyre change. I like Sport Demons but they don't last long, BT45's were good and currently have Dunlops GT501's which are a nice tyre.

I just put the sport demons on about a 1000 miles ago and it completely changed the ride of the bike. I can't say anything about the Avons simply because I have never ridden with them. I don't think you can go wrong with either the Avon or the Pirellis.

+2 on the Avons. replaced my stock metzlers with the Avons at 8K miles because the front metlzer bounced so badly I felt like i was seconds away from a tank slapper. Have put over 2k miles on them and they are stable as heck, even in the rain.

When I first put them on, they have a tendency to want to wrighten themselves out of a turn, its a bit disconcerting when you first feel it, but it goes away (or I got used to it) very quickly. A few other forumites have noticed this same behavior. nothing to be alarmed about.

Ditto. I went from stock Metzelers to stock sized AM26's and I've been in love ever since.

You absolutely cannot go wrong with the Avon Roadriders. My Thruxton became a totally different bike after I had mine installed (Stock Sizes).
Vast improvements in Handling, Breaking and most importantly in my Cornering Confidence.
