im picking up a set for my thruxton - im assuming I'll need a set of the adaptor kits?

How do they install? I took off the bar end cover thats on there now - is there a way to get the internal threaded sleeve out, or do the CRG's bolt right into that?

Yes. I dremeled the CRG tabs, so I could just screw them and bolt on mirrors.

See earlier threads on this install and other ideas.

Yes, get the adaptor kits, then ...

Take a look at my album, click on the photos. Under one of them are the instructions for mounting these mirrors.

You cut the end of the adaptor off with coping saw, then file smooth with emory board and it will butt right up to your bar end. You use the stock screws.

In other words, the adpators will bolt to the existing bar end internals - So remove nothing other than the stock end caps.

Other Motorcycle: Can't afford two!
Extra Motorcycle: Three would be insane
for a much cheaper solution buy a box of 7/8" diameter stainless fender washers (about $4) and just use a stack of them as an adapter. Buying the adapters is a waste of money

I took off the end caps, and used an aluminum shim and the exsisting bolt to attach mine to the stock bars. I had to trim a little off the inside of the mirror to make it sit flush, but it works really well.

I'm trying to use the method suggested by thrux-ton-up. He said you just put Lockhart Phillips Flush Mount bar ends and attach the CRG's to them. Problem is I can't find any bar end in a 7/8 " outside diameter. Any advice?

Do the fender washer thing. Cheap and easy, you should be able to get them at an auto parts store.

Here they are. They are cheap - install with stock bolt - different colors available. JCW
