Gator looks deflated

I have put on old style gators on my thruxton, and one looks like the air has been sucked out of it, which ruins the spring gator shape. It seems to happen to only one.

Anyone have a cause & solution to my outa shape Gator ?

sounds like the breather hole may be blocked, causing a partial vacuum inside the gaiter.

Correct. They need to be vented. Grab the top edge of the gaiter and pull it away from the stanchion. If it blossoms out, you need a vent hole... but hey, what man doesn't?

Thanks

I have attached two photos, first is of the Gator, and thanks for the advice will look for the breather hole as it looks like some kind of vacuum effect (duh!).

Second is of my Thruxton with few mods. Trying to keep the 60's style with the classic rear shocks, headlight visor, old style grips.
Other mods: Bridgestone BattleAxe (9+) 39mm FCR carbs, ARK, squashed gators, lucas & billet lights, napoleon mirrors.

Had it dyno'd at 64.4 hp (I round it up to 65 for boasting rights). I went to California for holidays and hired a car from Santa Monica to TriumphPerformanceUSA and met Carlos & Matt. I spent about an hour talking to Carlos & going through the workshop and all the trumpys they have there. Top blokes.

Next mod is the 904 kit from Carlos.

Cheers for the advice

Those appear to be Super Gaiters. They don't have a vent hole and typically don't need one (as evident by the LH gaiter). I use a single hole paper punch to make a hole in a discrete location like the backside. But before you do, remove the top clip clamp, pull the gaiter away from the tube and spray a little WD40 inside the gaiter. Stiction is the likely culprit rather than vacuum.

Thanks. Great to suck up the knowledge of learned men to make my bkike & riding more enjoyable ( also noted the correct spelling of Gaitor, not like the sports drink).

Cheers

Is the gaiter sticking to the tube? It sure looks like a empty capped plastic soda bottle left in the cold overnight!
