Sprocket Cover
Been looking at getting a MAS Sprocket Cover and Chain Cover.
BUT, that just seems to easy and EVERYONE has them.
Has anyone pulled their stock Thruxton Sprocket cover and had it drilled? To me this would add more of a custom touch.
Thoughts?

Yeah, there have been a few to do that.
Here is one:

Somewhere I saw one with a union jack cut out of it. I don't remember where that was... it was for sale on a website somewhere. Google is your friend. I've been looking but haven't found it yet.

Polished engien covers look better with the MAS cover. The MAS cover does save a lot of weight

Thanks. The link was great. Talked to my Machinist yesterday and he said not a problem. I'll just have to lay out a pattern for him to drill.

What I did was simply get a Sixty8 polycarbonate sprocket covet . Looked cool but would get dirty and to take off the plate , clean it and put it back on just became a pain in the @$$ . So one day I simply left the clear plate off and assembled . Looked cool and nothing comes close to getting caught in the sprocket . The surrounding bracket and studs work just fine .

I cut away the raised portion on my thrux with a dremel, the union jack on my bonnie was done by D9, who also did the gauge cups and mounting bracket.

Those are two of the nicest bikes I've ever seen. Ever.

That is KEWL! Talked to my guy about this yesterday and not a problem cutting and drilling. That will be next mod.

Yeppers, Seth's the man for the chain cover cut out. I had a thread going, begging for any knowledge of someone with a 3 axis water jet to cut out said UJ on a chain cover. Seth PM'ed me, we brainstormed a bit, and he turned my idea of this.....
into this.....
and after a little powder coating it turned into this..
D-9 had to work his butt off, taking the dogs off the back with a dremel, then he had to set up the cut multiple times, since he was dealing with a rounded, curved surface. He got it right on the first try and the rest is history! The man is an artisteest!
