Surfing for some cool stuff and found these cool retro helmets. Some of you guys may have seen these but I just came across them. Anyone have one? They don't seem to lend themselves much for safety.

Way cool, but your face will be toast in a crash.

I have seen those in another post. Extremely cool. I have a problem with paying over $200 for a half helmet. And Buggy is right about your face being toast. 70% percent of motorcycle fatalities are due to head injuries. I used to use a novelty helmet until i saw some accident photos by Bushwhacker.

Now i wear a Momo 3/4 with a face shield. I like the full's but i have been wearing them since i was 20 and wanted something different.

I totally hear ya on the Cafe Cool factor though.

Yup...I have to agree. They look cool but safety does not seem to be the montra for 'em.

I wear a full face but it would be cool to keep on the shelf if you had the money. I'm saving for some predators myself...

i have one and i love it, not much more than a piece of plastic with some leather and a strap though. i bought mine 2 years ago from bci and it was $150, man the prices have gone up. if you are looking for a cool retro helmet, they make a 3/4 that is dot approved. they also come in all the same colors for around the same price.

I roll a Classic Jet with the racing stripe.
Pretty good helmet, but it gets very hot.
Looks just right.

I've got the Classic Jet with the checkered stripe to match a black Thruxton. It's comfortable, quiet and looks very hip with the aviator goggles. Have to agree with the others about safety. Can't explain why I still wear it occassionally, but I do.

Wow! How insightful, how pertinent, how irrefutable. But most importantly how consistent.

Do you ever actually leave your mom’s basement to go out and ride?

I found this pic on the web its called a Cafestyle helmet.
