You fellas know I picked up a KZ650 for my wife to learn on...
...the third time she rode it the bike lost all power and we had to have it towed...
So since it was in the shop I had my "Creepy Old Triumph Guy" give it a good once over...
He replaced the battery...a regulator/rectifier...cleaned up all the wiring on it...I had him replace the rear shocks so she could sit flat footed on it...and put a set of new tires on it...oh and an oil change...she also got some cool looking bar end mirrors...so the bike is ready to go...

I took her out on old RT66 North...
I was riding behind her...to just keep an eye or her and to keep cars from getting too close and making her nervous...we were rolling about 65-75mph...everything was going well...so I started day dreaming a little...when I looked to see how she was doing...she was a football field length ahead of me...So I get on it to catch up...as I do she has her left hand in the air and shaking it triumphantly...as we came to a stop at the next town I asked her what the hell she was doing...She popped her visor...huge smile...and says I hit the TON...

Ride on the back with her doing the ton! I did that with my wyfe once, I'll never do it again. I don't know how they manage to ride back there at those speeds...

They must have a TON of trust in our ablities. I for one would never ride on the back of the bike (no control) and be at the mercy of someone else.

And the chuNk of RT66 I own is as straight and flat as you can get...fresh asphalt...smooth as glass...light traffic...for a good 1/2 tank...
