Well the temps are falling and they'll be snow on the ground soon here in the great midwest. Looks like the riding season may be coming to an end here soon. It's been my first summer with my Thruxton and am somewhat surprised that I've racked up 4000 miles.

I'm a little concerned that I may be riding it too often, if that's at all possible. Admittedly, I've got the bug bad and may add to the stable down the road (insert Street Triple here), but this bike is going nowhere. Just a little curious how many miles everyone else has on their Thruxton?

I've got over 12k at the end of my second summer.... but that's nothing. there are some guys with 30k+ in the first year... I'm so jealous. I'd love to have that much time to ride.

Hope to be able to put a few more miles on it this year. As of now about 3500, but i've got 60 more days left.

Last year was the first year wiht the bike and I racked up just over 5000 miles. This year was a bit of a change. I started riding on almost every "nice day" (any day there was no snow on the road) starting in January. I slowed down due to tires that I didn't trust anymore. As late summer approached I put on a set of Avons and the darn speedometer broke at 7,900 miles. I haven't taken it out since.

So, 7,900 miles for me in 2 riding seasons.

Got my Thruxton in February of this year. Been riding daily since, rain or shine. Just passed 12,500 miles this week.

Upside of South Florida: year round riding weather

Downside: Crazy blue hairs who shouldn't be on the road

Bought my 04 in Sept last year with 400 miles on and have 5400 on it since. I need a new back tire soon but I haven't been out on it in a while since I bought an 08 Sprint ST in Sept so I've been thrashing that a little more. Gonna take the thrux out for a thrash tomorrow though.

Guess I'm alittle behind I got mine in April and only have 999.8 as of today, but then I have 3 bikes to split my miles between. Going to have to get it out to break 1000 miles
