Well returning from my 500 mile service I laid my bike down. Just 100 yards from home. No harm to me, thanks to wearing protection gear, but I hate hurting my bike. Mostly scraped the engine cover on the left. Leaf blowers should be outlawed.

Did you just slide out in some leaves?

I did the same thing on my Bonnie pulling into a driveway with gravel. It happens quick. Glad you're alright.

The engine cover runs about $150.

Didn't like reading this story as I'm picking mine up from the 500 mile service as soon as the shop reopens on Tuesday. :???:

Look at the bright side though: Now you have no excuse not to paint the engine covers black!

(Erm, if you end buying a new engine cover, I might be interested in yours.)

I got crossed up on gravel, hit the gas and suddenly I was upright. Go figure. Anyway, I feel for you guys. You ride like godzilla is on your butt and get taken out by gravel at 5mph. Sucks, but part of the game, I guess.
